When will I be able to buy products Online?

You can now buy all of our products online. Go to our orders web page to find out more! We hope to bring out a few more products during the year, so watch the enews section for details.

What time of the year do you harvest the nuts?

We generally harvest the nuts between June and October each year. Each different variety has it's own specific time frame within that period.

Where do you sell your macadamia products?

We sell a number of products to retailers, hotels and gourmet food shops. We also sell the raw ingredients to restaurants that use macadamia nuts in their menu.

Do you have EFTPOS facilities?

We now have EFTPOS and credit card facilities, so next time you're visiting our retail store you will be able to use these facilities.

Do you use any Genetically Modified ingredients in your products?

We only use 100% G.M. free ingredients. We grow our own macadamia nuts, and all other ingredients ie. chocolate is sourced from G.M. free suppliers.

Can I bring a tour group around your orchard and factory?

The orchard and factory are available for group tours every Sunday from 1:30pm to 4:30pm during daylight savings. Outside of these times, prior arrangements must be made. If you are interested in taking a tour group around the orchard and factory please email contact@emacadamia.co.nz

Do you use any insecticides on your orchard?

We are committed to the environment and do not use insecticides. We really love Taranaki and our business is also our home, so why would we pollute it?

How long have you been growing macadamias for?

We planted our original trial block about 25years ago. Since then we have developed five main varieties that are compatible with the conditions in Taranaki and are high in oil. The majority of our orchard is 8-15years old and with about 30% of the orchard in full production.
